Launching 5G COMPAD 2.0 – Advancing Europe’s Defence Communications !

A major European Consortium has officially launched #5GCOMPAD 2.0 (5G Communications for Peacekeeping and Defence 2.0), a €38M project funded under the European Commission (European Defence Fund - EDF) 2024 call on information superiority.

The MARSEUS (Modular Architecture Solutions for EU States) programme is the second part of the LynkEUS project, which is coming to an end, and aims to study the firing beyond line of
sight of a 5th generation medium-range anti-tank missile, embarked on a vehicle in coordination
with an observation drone.

MARSEUS, under the coordination of the French company MBDA, will develop the collaborative
capability for this "beyond line of sight" firing capability over a 3-year period. John Cockerill
Defense's role will be to integrate these new functionalities into our latest generation compact
turrets, the Cockerill® CPWS and 1030.

#MarsEUs Eviden is proud to have contributed to the European MarsEUs project, focused on developing and demonstrating beyond line-of-sight collaborative combat capabilities, which are critical in today’s high-intensity, digitized, and UAV-enabled battlefield environments.

As part of the project, Eviden leveraged its expertise in collaborative combat, forces coordination and digital interoperability, building on Digital Battle Management System, inherited from #SICS, the Battle Management System used by the French Army to enable the integration of third-party systems.
