Nexter’s Katana ammunition tested in ONERA’s wind tunnel
From 25 May to 8 June 2020, Nexter Munitions carried out two major test campaigns of the KATANA ammunition in the S3MA wind tunnel at ONERA's Modane site.
FN Herstal concludes a strategic agreement with the French group Nexter
FN Herstal, a Belgian subsidiary of the Herstal Group, and the French group Nexter have signed a strategic contract in the framework of the CaMo (Capacité Motorisée or Motorized Capability) program for the modernization of the Belgian Army’s ground mobility capability.
This contract covers the production and delivery by FN Herstal of latest generation deFNder® remote weapon stations to be fitted to Griffon multi-role armored vehicles (VBMR) that will be supplied by France to the Belgian Army between 2025 and 2030.
The contract between FN Herstal and Nexter, prime contractor in the French consortium in charge of the program, results from the intergovernmental agreement of November 2018 between France and Belgium that confirmed their decision to form a long-term strategic partnership in the field of ground mobility.
The contract also includes the supply to the French Army of the same type of weapon stations for its Leclerc tank modernization program.
Nach der ersten Bestellung von 319 VBMR Griffon und 20 EBRC Jaguar im Jahr 2017 hat die DGA nun am 15. September 2020 die zweite Tranche des Programms SCORPION bei Nexter Systems, Arquus und Thales bestellt. Der Auftrag setzt sich zusammen aus

42 EBRC Jaguar
Die neuen Fahrzeuge sollen 2022 und 2023 geliefert werden.
Außerdem wurde der Griffon kürzlich für zehn Tage beim 5e régiment interarmes d' outre-mer (5e RIAOM) in Djibouti erprobt:

Das französische Heer wird einen neuen Hybridantrieb für VBCI und VBMR Griffon erproben. 2022 soll ein Demonstrator zur Verfügung stehen und 2025 ist geplant die zwei Fahrzeugflotten auf das neue Antriebssystem umzurüsten:
