IDV signs a contract with the Italian Army to supply 1,435 tactical-logistic trucks
https://www.idvgroup.com/2024/12/19/idv ... ic-trucks/Bolzano, 19th December 2024 – IDV has signed a contract with the Direzione Armamenti Terrestri (DAT) of the Italian Ministry of Defence for the supply of 1,453 tactical-logistic trucks. The new trucks, to be delivered starting from 2025 until 2038, represent an important step in ensuring the renewal and modernisation of the Italian Army’s fleet of tactical-logistic vehicles.
The contract is for the supply of a variety of military logistic platforms equipped with tactical cabins and based on the new range of IDV SMR6 trucks (Standard Military Range), which includes 4×4, 8×8 and 10×10 variants. The new vehicles will come in diverse configurations – from troop and material transport to water tankers, fuel tankers, container carriers, recovery vehicles and towing systems.
