Israel and Montenegro Sign GTG Defense Exports Agreement Worth Approximately 20 Million Euros
Elbit Systems announced today that it was awarded a contract valued at approximately 20 million Euros, as part of a defense export agreement signed between the Israel and Montenegro Ministries of Defense to acquire Elbit Systems-made weapons including mortar munition systems and training equipment.
As part of the contract, Elbit Systems will supply 120mm mortar munition systems that can be mounted on 4×4 armored vehicles as well as the training of soldiers and officers at the Elbit-IMI Academy in Israel.

Eines der Unternehmen, die dazu einen Vorschlag unterbreitet haben, ist Elbit Systems. Am 5. April hat der montenegrinische Verteidigungsminister die Werft von Kership in Concarneau besucht und am 10. April gab es außerdem ein Treffen mit einem Vertreter von Damen Naval.
Deutschland hat Montenegro im Januar zwei fabriksneue Dingo 2A3 ATF NF im Wert von 4.544.542 EUR kostenlos geliefert (Montenegro ist damit, nach Österreich und Luxemburg, der dritte Nutzer dieses Fahrzeugtyps.):

Helicopter Sale To Montenegro Germany’s First G2G Defense Deal
Germany has agreed to its first-ever government-to-government (G2G) defense sale by providing light utility helicopters to the Balkan state of Montenegro.
Montenegro will receive four Airbus H145M twin-engine helicopters that will be delivered from a tranche ordered by the Germany army and equipped to the same standard.
Details of the order emerged June 12 at the ILA Berlin Air Show here as the ministers from the two countries deepened a defense partnership that will also include Montenegrin membership in the European Sky Shield Initiative, becoming the 24th nation to do so.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said the use of G2G deals by other NATO countries was commonplace, but until now had not been made by Germany. But he said they would become more commonplace in the future.
“Government-to-government deals will expand our toolbox,” Pistorius said. “Such deals are backed by an entire state, not just a company, and this is the difference. It helps builds confidence and gives political weight to a project.”
