The Finnish Defence Forces and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration procure CNHF radios from KNL in a joint EUR 15 million order

The Finnish Defence Forces (FDF) and FMV – Försvarets materielverk (the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration) – have jointly placed an order for KNL’s Cognitive Networked HF (CNHF) Manpack radios. The total value of the procurement is approximately EUR 15 million, with deliveries scheduled for completion by the end of 2025.

This procurement marks the first joint acquisition under the NORDEFCO Implementing Arrangement for Joint Procurement of C4I systems, signed in April 2025 by KNL, the FDF, and FMV.

Das tschechische Verteidigungsministerium plant den Kauf weiterer Sturmgewehre CZ BREN 2, Unterlaufgranatwerfern CZ GL 40 mm, Pistolen P-10 C und Zubehör (Tagsichtoptiken, Nachtsichtoptiken, Lasermodule, Ersatzteile, Werkzeugsätze, Holster, Verpackungen). Die Beschaffung wurde vom Ministerrat genehmigt und in weiterer Folge soll noch im Sommer ein Rahmenvertrag im Umfang von 4,26 Mrd. CZK mit einer Laufzeit von 2025 bis 2031 abgeschlossen werden.

OCCAR Announces Infrared Clip-on Devices Contract Award

OCCAR (Organisation for Joint Armament Co-operation) is proud to announce the successful award of a landmark contract for the procurement of Infrared Clip-on Devices (#IRCODs) on behalf of #Belgium and Germany. Following a competitive Europe-wide tender process, the contract has been awarded to a consortium comprising THEON INTERNATIONAL Sensors S.A. and Andres Industries AG, two leading innovators in #thermal #imaging technology.

Contract Highlights:

Total Units: 1,500 IRCOD Sets for #Belgium and 4,375 for #Germany

Support Package: Includes initial spare parts, training, documentation, and three years of in-service support (ISS)

Expansion Options: Potential follow-on ISS and procurement of up to 20,000 additional IRCOD Sets

The IRCOD IRIS-C system is a cutting-edge, lightweight thermal imaging device designed to seamlessly integrate with Night Vision Goggles (NVGs) already in service with both nations. By overlaying thermal imagery onto intensified residual light, the IRIS-C significantly enhances situational awareness in low-visibility environments. When connected to a Battle Management System, the device also supports Augmented Reality, offering a tactical edge in dynamic operational theatres.

Delivery Timeline:

Initial Delivery: Late September 2025 for operational testing and acceptance
Production Batches: Begin Q2 2026

Final Delivery: Scheduled for Q3 2027

Die tschechische Armee erhält ein neues Soldatensystem, genannt Modulární bojoy komplet. Die Beschaffung ist letzte Woche vom Ministerrat genehmigt worden. U.a. umfasst es Sensoren, UAVs und Funkgeräte und es ist mit Führungs- und Fliegerabwehrsystemen vernetzt. Dazu wird bis Ende Oktober ein Rahmenvertrag mit VTÚ im Wert von ca. 7,5 Mrd. CZK (308 Mio. EUR) abgeschlossen. Die ersten Systemkomponenten werden bis Ende 2026 geliefert.
