https://www.janes.com/osint-insights/de ... -puls-mrlsDenmark has allocated funds for more missiles and support equipment to complete its procurement of Precise and Universal Launching System (PULS) multiple rocket launchers (MRLs), the Danish Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced on its website on 7 September.
Denmark received all eight of its PULS MRLs and munitions in 2023. In addition to a missile package, the PULS procurement included command post and supply vehicles.
PULS is able to fire Elbit rockets including Accular precision rockets with a range of 35 km, Extra precision-guided rockets with a range of 150 km, and Predator Hawk precision-guided rockets with a range of up to 300 km.
Speaking to Janes at the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2025 exhibition being held in London from 9 to 12 September, the company noted that PULS/EuroPULS has also test-fired third-party missiles such as Kongsberg's Naval Strike Missile (NSM). It also spoke of developing and firing a joint training rocket with Diehl Defence. The company is in discussions on establishing a production line in Germany for PULS rocket munitions.
Denmark previously ordered the full range of PULS rocket munitions – training rockets, Accular, Extra, and Predator Hawk.
In addition to more munitions, the latest procurement announced by the Danish MoD on 7 September includes control, supply, and transport vehicles, as well as buildings and information technology (IT) to reach a PULS operational capability in 2033 at a cost of approximately DKK1.5 billion (USD235 million).
Denmark's MRL capability will be part of the Danish Artillery Regiment in Oksbøl.
