General Dynamics European Land Systems – Santa Bárbara Sistemas (GDELS–SBS) has officially resumed the production of 120 mm gun barrels for the Spanish Army’s Leopard 2E main battle tanks, marking a significant milestone in Spain’s defense manufacturing capabilities.
The production, carried out under license from Rheinmetall, is taking place at the historic Trubia factory in Asturias, which boasts over two centuries of barrel manufacturing tradition.
