Man wird davon ausgehen können, dass die Behauptungen Trumps stimmen, dass die F-47 bereits geflogen ist. NGAD ist auch nachweislich geflogen, und Studien-Aufträge ergingen in den Zehnerjahren an Lockheed Martin und an Boeing.

Und man wird auch davon ausgehen können, dass Trump bekannt dafür ist, die Wahrheit zu verdrehen. F-47 ist NICHT geflogen, das waren experimentelle Flugzeuge, häufig sind das Modelle in kleinem Maßstab, die vom Boden aus gesteuert werden. Tatsächlich ist der Erstflug für 2029 geplant.

Under research and development contracts with DARPA, Boeing and Lockheed Martin designed two X-planes as risk reduction for the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) Platform. These aircraft first flew in 2019 and 2022, logging several hundred hours each.

F-47 Program Details Revealed In New Graphic

The first members of a planned fleet of more than 185 Boeing F-47s fighters that feature advanced stealth, a top speed over Mach 2 and a combat radius greater than 1,000 nm could be “operational” between 2025-29, the U.S. Air Force’s top officer said on May 13.

The tweeted graphic from the official account of Gen. David Allvin, the Air Force chief of staff, confirmed several basic features of the aircraft, whose overall shape and most other performance and schedule details remain cloaked in secrecy.

In some ways, the data verifies speculation that the Air Force requirements for the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) fighter would emphasize significantly greater range than the 690 nm unrefueled mission radius of a Boeing F-15EX and the 670 nm, unrefueled mission radius of the Lockheed Martin F-35.

The one-way, “1,000+ nm” capability on Allvin’s graphic places the F-47 in the same category of the General Dynamics F-111, a regional fighter-bomber and radar jammer that the Air Force retired nearly 30 years ago.

But the mission of the F-47 remains “air superiority,” suggesting a fundamentally different role than that performed by the F-111.

As expected, the Allvin graphic confirmed that the F-47 will feature better stealth performance than the Lockheed F-22. The latter is listed as a “stealth+” aircraft, but the F-47 enjoys a “stealth++” description.

The “operational” term for the F-47 refers to the Air Force’s plan to reach first flight by the end of the decade.
