Das italienische Heer erprobt derzeit das neue Führungssystem C2D/N EVO, das das derzeit auf dem VBM "Freccia" genutzte System bzw. die Führungssoftware C2D des Systems SICCONA ersetzen soll. An den Tests sind das Ce.Si.Va. (Centro di Simulazione e Validazione dell'Esercito) und Personal der Brigata meccanizzata “Pinerolo”, des Comando Trasmissioni-RTE und der 3., 4. und 6. Abteilung des Generalstabs der Esercito Italiano sowie der Firmen LEONARDO und LARIMART beteiligt. Das Vorhaben findet in der Kaserne "R. Stella" und am Übungsplatz Foce Ofanto statt. Dabei kommen digitalisierte Führungsshelter (PCD nodo T5) und ein Verband aus 13 VBM "Freccia" sowie die Komponente TC2 (Tactical Command and Control) des Systems "Soldato Sicuro" zum Einsatz. Alle Systeme sind in SIACCON ADV integriert.

II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s):
The Defence Forces of Ireland are considering the purchase of a single rifle type to fulfil the operational requirements for Designated Marksman and sniper support to replace the existing FN FAL 7.62 mm sniper support rifle. The rifle shall share a commonality of features such as calibre, operation system, modes of fire and general functioning. There may be variations in accessories and ergonomics appropriate to the two roles. The DMR/SSR will be expected to remain in service for the next 15 to 20 years and have a proven maintenance and support capability. In the Designated Marksman role the rifle will be deployed by infantry and cavalry units down to Section level. in the sniper support role the rifle will be deployed in a sniper pair in support of the accuracy international .308 AW and .338 SM rifles.
(1) The DMR/SSR is intended primarily for Land Component Forces deployed on;
(a) Aid to the Civil Power (ATCP) operations.
(b) Peace Support Operations (PSO).
(c) Conventional military operations.
(d) There may also be a requirement for providing Naval personnel with a DMR for deck operations during maritime interdiction.
(2) Such operations may at any time incorporate mounted (APC/IFV), airborne/airmobile and/or littoral phases.
