Die Panzerabwehrlenkwaffe PAL 2000 BILL ("Bofors Infantry Light
and Lethal") dient der Bekämpfung von gepanzerten Zielen auf
eine Entfernung von bis zu 2.000 m. Es handelt sich um eine mechanisch
abzufeuernde und elektrisch gezündete Lenkwaffe mit halbautomatischer
Steuerung (drahtgelenkt). Die BILL ist eine "top-attack" Waffe,

01. Die Panzerabwehrlenkwaffe PAL 2000 dient der Bekämpfung von gepanzerten Zielen auf eine Entfernung von 2.000m. Die PAL 2000 war die erste Lenkwaffe beim Österreichischen Bundesheer, denn viel zu lange hielt man sich an das im Staatsvertrag von 1955 aufgezwungene Lenkwaffenverbot / The Anti Tank Guided Missile PAL 2000 is effective against armoured targets with an effective range of up to 2.200m. © Bundesheer |

02. Die Abschusseinrichtung wiegt 11,8 kg, eine Lenkwaffe im Startrohr etwa 20 kg. Nach 10 bis 15 Sekunden ist die PAL 2000 feuerbereit.
