<p>Die Panzerabwehrlenkwaffe PAL 2000 BILL ("Bofors Infantry Light and Lethal")
dient der Bekämpfung von gepanzerten Zielen auf eine Entfernung von bis
zu 2.000 m. Es handelt sich um eine mechanisch abzufeuernde und elektrisch gezündete
Lenkwaffe mit halbautomatischer Steuerung (drahtgelenkt). Die BILL ist eine
"top-attack" Waffe, die ihr Ziel mit etwa 1 m Abstand überfliegt.
Ein<br>
Annäherungszünder zündet einen Hohlladungsgefechtskopf, der in
einem Winkel von 30° nach unten wirkt. Dadurch werden schwer gepanzerte
Ziele wie Kampfpanzer an ihrer in der Regel schwächsten Stelle - dem Turmdach
- angegriffen. Darüber hinaus können auf diese Weise auch teilgedeckte
Ziele bekämpft werden. Alternativ zum top-attack Modus kann die Lenkwaffe
auch direkt ins Ziel gelenkt werden.</p>
<p>Die RBS 56-1 "BILL 1" wurde bis Ende der 1990er Jahre produziert,
dann wurde die Poduktion auf die weiterentwickelte Variante RBS 56-2 "BILL
2" umgestellt. Die BILL 2 besitzt zwei Gefechtsköpfe und kann damit
auch Panzer mit Reaktivpanzerung am Turmdach bekämpfen. Des Weiteren verfügt
die Lenkwaffe über einen eigenen Modus für den Einsatz gegen "weiche
Ziele" wie MG-Stellungen etc..<br>

<p>Anti Tank Guided Missile PAL 2000 - RBS 56 BILL<br>
The PAL 2000 BILL ("Bofors Infantry Light and Lethal") is a wire guided
anti tank missile with a range of 2.000m. The BILL has an overfly top-attack
capability - it flies about 1m above the line of sight and it hits the target
from above on the roof, the weakest point of most armoured vehicles. For fighting
light armoured targets the crew can choose the direct hit mode.<br>
In the late 1990s the production line switched to the advanced RBS 56-2<br>
BILL 2 model with two warheads and an additional mode especially for fighting
soft targets like MG-nests.<br>

<p>02. Die Abschusseinrichtung wiegt 11,8 kg, eine Lenkwaffe im Startrohr etwa
20 kg. Nach 10 bis 15 Sekunden ist die PAL 2000 feuerbereit. Das Nachladen dauert
in etwa 5 Sekunden / The tripod weights 11,8 kg, the missile in the launch tube
weights 20 kg. The set up takes 10 to 15 seconds and the loading/reloading takes
