Dezember 2024 bekanntgab, werden f\u00fcr das Bundesheer 12 Jettrainer des Typs Leonardo M-346 FA beschafft. Damit nimmt man in letzter Minute ein Angebot zur Kooperation mit den italienischen Luftstreitkr\u00e4ften an, welches mit Jahresende ausgelaufen w\u00e4re. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.krone.at\/3637675\">Medienberichten<\/a> zufolge wird noch heute, am 28.12.2024, die Absichtserkl\u00e4rung zum Ankauf \u00fcber einen Government-to-Government-Vertrag unterfertigt. Wie bei der Beschaffung der Leonardo-Hubschrauber AW169 werden die eigentlichen Vertragsverhandlungen noch folgen. Das Vertragsvolumen des Regierungsgesch\u00e4fts wird auf einen Umfang von etwa 1 Mrd. EUR gesch\u00e4tzt &#8211; inkl. Ersatzteile, Infrastruktur, Ausbildung und Logistik. Das Budget ist im Aufbauplan \u00d6BH 2032+ enthalten. Man kann wohl davon ausgehen, dass die Beschaffung im Zuge der aktuellen Regierungsverhandlungen abgesprochen wurde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Verteidigungsministerin Tanner \u00e4u\u00dferte sich zur Anschaffung wie folgt: \u201eMit dem Kauf der Jets schlie\u00dfen wir eine wesentliche F\u00e4higkeitsl\u00fccke bei unseren Luftstreitkr\u00e4ften. Damit holen wir nicht nur die Ausbildung unserer Pilotinnen und Piloten wieder zu 100 Prozent nach \u00d6sterreich, sondern st\u00e4rken auch die Luftraumverteidigung deutlich. Das erh\u00f6ht den Schutz \u00d6sterreichs, der \u00f6sterreichischen Bev\u00f6lkerung und unserer Neutralit\u00e4t gegen Bedrohungen aus der Luft.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die zweisitzige Leonardo M-346FA ist einer der leistungsf\u00e4higsten Unterschall-Jettrainer am Markt &#8211; ein Advanced Jet Trainer. Doch mit dem Flugzeug kann nicht nur die Ausbildung der heimischen Jetpiloten wieder zum Gro\u00dfteil nach \u00d6sterreich zur\u00fcckgeholt werden. Die <strong>Version FA (Fighter Attack)<\/strong> ist auch ein leichtes Mehrzweck-Kampfflugzeug, welches \u00fcber ein Grifo-M346 Bordradar verf\u00fcgt und sich f\u00fcr Luft\/Luft und Luft\/Boden-Eins\u00e4tze eignet. Es kann daher gegen langsam fliegende Luftziele (Drohnen etc.) auch in der Luftraum\u00fcberwachung bzw. -sicherung eingesetzt werden und Luftunterst\u00fctzung bieten. Auch taktische Aufkl\u00e4rung ist mit der M-346FA m\u00f6glich. Diese Kombination ist der Grund, warum der Generalstab das Modell favorisiert hatte und eine entsprechende Kaufempfehlung abgab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images Beschaffung angeboten, um die Kosten zu reduzieren. Ministerin Tanner beauftragte damals den Generalstab mit der Pr\u00fcfung des Vorschlags. Im August war von einer m\u00f6glichen Lieferung ab 2027\u00a0die Rede. Stationiert werden die zw\u00f6lf neuen Jets jedenfalls wieder am Fliegerhorst Vogler in Linz-H\u00f6rsching, wo auch die Saab 105 OE betrieben wurde. Die Saab-Trainer gingen bereits Ende 2020 nach 50 Dienstjahren ersatzlos in Pension.
