Minister Vučević attends presentation of White Paper on Defence of Republic of Serbia

https://www.mod.gov.rs/eng/20621/minist ... rbije20621
  • White Paper on Defence of the Republic of Serbia
In a very complex strategic environment, the Republic of Serbia strives to protect and pursue its national interests and secure a proper position in international relations through strong foreign policy, diplomatic and legal means. The recognition of the independence of the territory that is administratively covered by the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija by the states in immediate vicinity, and other states affects the mutual trust and regional security. The current security situation in the Province and the status of the political dialogue with the Provisional Institutions of Self-Government in Pristina represent the biggest political and security challenges for the Republic of Serbia. Pristina’s unilateral moves and non-implementation of agreed obligations, the transformation of the so-called ‘Kosovo Security Forces’ into armed forces, as well as the significant deterioration of the security situation in the Province pose a security threat to the Republic of Serbia.
