The Danish Defence plans to acquire a UAS capacity to support the Danish Armed Forces, mainly in the land environment in support of Brigade level operations. The UAS will be used primarily as an intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) asset. The Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) wishes therefore to gain in-depth knowledge of the market for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in the category NATO Class I (≤ 150 kg). The scope of the acquisition is expected to be a turnkey solution counting several Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV).

The UAS shall support the Danish Armed Forces and will be primarily used as an intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) asset.

FMI udbyder en kontrakt på levering af følgende to typer droner med kontrolenhed, batterier, SD kort, ladehub, 12 volts billader, propeller, ledninger, pelicase og rygsæk:

- droner med termisk sensor og RGB kamera, 56 stk.

- droner med RGB kamera, 112 stk.

Begge droner skal anvendes bredt i Forsvaret til fx foto, video og kortlægning.

II.1.4. Short description

The framework agreement covers the purchase of NATO Class I, Small, Unmanned Aircraft System (hereafter UAS) for the Danish MoD. An UAS consists of a minimum of three UAV, two Ground Control Stations (hereafter GCS), primary sensor package, Synthetic Aperture Radar (hereafter SAR), antenna and all necessary ground equipment (spare parts, fuel pumps, fuel scales, tools etc) as the main components.

The Unmanned Air Vehicle (hereafter UAV) must be a Vertical Take Off and Landing (hereafter VTOL) capability. In this acquisition VTOL shall mean a “Vertical Take Off and Landing” UAV without any system-required separate equipment such as launcher, landing net, landing wire, parachute or similar.
