Aus Kostengründen werden die U-Boote der "Walrus"-Klasse nicht mit Marschflugkörpern ausgestattet, da die dazu erforderliche aus Torpedorohren verschießbare Variante des "Tomahawk" nicht mehr produziert wird. Es wäre eine Anpassentwicklung und der Aufbau einer neuen Fertigungslinie in den USA erforderlich gewesen, darüber hinaus hätten sich ohne internationale Kostenteilung zu hohe finanzielle Risiken bei Integration und Produktion ergeben.

Die U-Boote der "Orka"-Klasse werden mit Joint Strike Missile – Submarine Launched (JSM-SL) bewaffnet. Diese Fähigkeit wird in einer internationalen Kooperation unter der Leitung von Spanien realisiert. Die Integration in die "Orka"-Klasse ist für 2032 geplant.

Die ersten Marschflugkörper "Tomahawk" sollen 2028 geliefert werden. Für die dazu passenden Fertigungsslots müssen die Letters of Offer and Acceptance vor dem 31. Oktober 2025 unterzeichnet werden.

Es gibt bereits eine Übereinkunft in den Vertragsverhandlungen zwischen dem Ministerie van Defensie und Israel Aerospace Industries über die Lieferung der Bewaffnung für die MSS. Die IAI Harop sollen zur Unterstützung von Landungsoperationen des
Korps Mariniers dienen.

Ein neues Detail: Das Waffenarsenal der vier LC-Fregatten umfasst u.a. radargesteuerte Lenkwaffen großer Reichweite SM-2 Block IIIA. Diese werden nicht mehr produziert. Die neueste Version dieser Lenkwaffe, die SM-2 Block IIICU, ist aber mit dem Feuerleitsystem der LC-Fregatten nicht kompatibel.

Description: The Royal Netherlands Navy (RNLN) will be replacing its entire amphibious landing capability, also referred to as the Amphibious Toolbox, over the next 14 years. This includes the replacement of the surface connectors. The subject of this European Tender Procedure is the replacement of the Landing Craft Vehicle Personnel (LCVP) by the Littoral Assault Craft (LAC). The LAC will be deployed from motherships and carry embarked military forces to non-developed landing points at the coast. The LAC must therefore be able to reach a speed, fully loaded, of 25 knots and have a range of at least 250 nautical miles. The LAC will maintain in use at least 15 years after delivery.

New generation landing craft for The Royal Netherlands Marine Corps

The Littoral Assault Craft (LAC) will become the new landing craft for the Marine Corps. These vessels will replace the Landing Craft Vehicle Personnel (LCVPs) and are expected to enter service between 2026 and 2028. The Netherlands Materiel en IT Command and the Finnish company Marine Alutech are joining forces for this program.

The LAC has been designed by the Finnish Marine Alutech to support the new doctrine of the Marine Corps, known as Force Design. This concept focuses on the simultaneous landing of marines and their equipment from amphibious transport ships positioned further offshore.

The new craft provides protection in hostile environments and is equipped with powerful onboard weapon systems. It is also faster, capable of covering greater distances, and can operate at sea for longer periods than the current vessels.

Diese Drohnen werden mit einem Sonarsystem Thales SAMDIS 600 versehen. Sie werden künftig Teil des Système de lutte anti-mines futur (SLAM_F). Der Beginn der Lieferungen ist für das erste Halbjahr 2028 geplant.
