Österreich stärkt seine Verteidigung im Cyberbereich
Österreich baut künftig seine Fähigkeiten in der Cyberverteidigung aus: Verteidigungsministerin Klaudia Tanner unterzeichnete diese Woche gemeinsam mit Lettland, im Zuge des Verteidigungsministertreffens in Brüssel, sowie im Beisein des Verteidigungsminister Litauens, Laurynas Kasčiūnas, das von Litauen initiierte PESCO-Projekt „Cyber Rapid Response Team“.
Ziel des Projektes ist es die Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Mitgliedsstaaten der Europäischen Union im Cyberbereich zu verbessern und fördern.
Der Bundesrat genehmigt die Teilnahme der Schweiz an zwei PESCO-Projekten
Der Bundesrat hat an seiner Sitzung vom 21. August 2024 die Teilnahme der Schweiz an zwei Projekten der Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) der EU genehmigt. Die beiden Projekte «Military Mobility» und «Cyber Ranges Federation» bieten die Möglichkeit, die internationale Zusammenarbeit zwischen Streitkräften zu erweitern.

Wenn Truppen aus EU-Ländern durch die Schweiz ziehen, soll dies einfacher bewilligt werden können. Auch im Cyber-Bereich will der Bundesrat enger mit Europa zusammenarbeiten. Dazu wird die Schweiz an zwei Projekten der Permanent Structured Cooperation (Pesco) teilnehmen.
European Commission and OCCAR Sign Contribution Agreement for Stage 2 of MMPC Programme
#Paris-#Brussels, 12 December 2024 — The European Commission (EC), represented by the Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG #DEFIS), and the OCCAR (Organisation for Joint Armament Co-operation) for Joint Armament Cooperation (OCCAR), represented by the OCCAR-EA Director, have signed the Contribution Agreement (CA), marking the first significant step for the 2nd Stage of the #MMPC Programme for the development and production phases of at least two ship’s prototypes and for potential new stages to provide new Classes of #Corvettes that could involve four Nations (#Italy, #Spain, #France and #Greece).
The purpose of this Agreement is to entrust tasks to OCCAR for the implementation of the Action “European Patrol Corvette 2” (EPC2) and to provide OCCAR a financial contribution for the implementation. This CA establishes the rules for the implementation and for the payment of the Union Contribution and defines the relations between OCCAR and the Commission.
With a duration of 24 months, the MMPC Call 1 covers a concept study and the initial design of the ship. The Call 2 frames a new stage of the programme for a four-year period of activities (2026 – 2029), and aims at completing the development phase and producing at least two prototypes - one for Full Combat Multipurpose (FCM) and one for Long Range Multipurpose version (LRM).
Rome, October 24, 2023 - The OCCAR-EA Director, Mr. Joachim Sucker, has signed the contracts for the implementation of the first phase of the European Modular and Multirole Patrol Corvette (MMPC) with the MMPC Consortium.
The MMPC Consortium represented by NAVIRIS as Coordinator, FINCANTIERI, NAVAL Group and NAVANTIA, signed the European Patrol Corvette (EPC) Grant Agreement (GA) and the associated MMPC Link Procurement Contract (LPC) for a total amount of 87 M€, of which 60 M€ are co-funded by the EU European Defence Fund (EDF).
The GA and the associated LPC focus on conceptual studies up to the initial design of the Modular and Multirole Patrol Corvette (MMPC), a new Class of military vessel, to accomplish, with a modular and flexible approach, a large variety of tasks and missions for the Participating States.
The produced design will be modular and flexible, more energy-efficient, greener, safer, more interoperable, and cyber-secured. A total of 13 industrial partners from six Nations (IT/ES/FR/GR/DK and NOR) have proven themselves eligible for research funding by the EC. However only five nations participate in the OCCAR MMPC programme namely Italy as lead Nation, France Spain, Greece and Norway and gather 11 co-contractors from the Participating States

The project aims at bringing a developed anti-torpedo torpedo demonstrator to the production ready design, with a qualified effector and a proven functional chain.
Das Projekt "Verwerving Counter UUV systeem Anti-Torpedo Torpedo (ATT)" sieht die Entwicklung eines Hardkill-Schutzsystems zur kinetischen Bekämpfung von UUVs oder Torpedos vor. Damit wird die Teilnahme der Niederlande am PESCO-Projekt "Anti-Torpedo Torpedo (ATT)" besiegelt. Als erste Plattform soll die neue ASW-Fregatte mit diesem System ausgestattet werden, gefolgt von den LC-Fregatten, den neuen amphibischen Transportschiffen und den Unterseebooten. Damit wird eine Budgetbelastung von 2025 bis 2039 begründet.
Weiters werden neue Torpedos vom Typ MK48 für U-Boote der "Orka"-Klasse angeschafft. Mit dem Vorhaben "Verwerving Maritieme Onbemenste Systemen (VMOS)" sollen UAVs und USVs für bildgebende Aufklärung und U-Boot-Bekämpfung eingeführt werden.
