Saab receives order for TAURUS KEPD 350 sub-components
https://www.saab.com/newsroom/press-rel ... componentsSaab has received an order for maintenance and modernisation of the cruise missile TAURUS KEPD 350. The order value is SEK 1.7 billion and the contract period is 2025-2035.
The order includes significant system upgrades and modernisation to the German Air Force’s TAURUS missiles as well as a ten-year life cycle maintenance.
Saab received the order from the German prime contractor TAURUS Systems, a joint venture between MBDA Germany and Saab. The initial order was placed by Germany’s defence procurement office (BAAINBw) to TAURUS Systems.

With 49 aircraft in the official inventory at the time of retirement, the MoD said that four will remain on quick reaction alert duties with 1435 Flight in the Falkland Islands until 2027, 10 will be used for spares for the remaining Tranche 2 and Tranche 3 aircraft, 17 will be disposed of, 12 will be in storage for disposal, four will be used for ground training aids, and two are being considered for sale.
