On 7 June, GMV successfully completed the operational demonstration of the Spanish Foot-Soldier System (Sistema Combatiente a Pie: SISCAP) project at the Los Alijares maneuver area, next to the Toledo Infantry Academy.

SISCAP is in the consolidation phase and these tests aimed to demonstrate the capabilities of all the subsystems developed in the previous phase, both in a day and night environment. To this end, the progress made in this phase was tested against previous demonstrations, such as increased system autonomy and improved robustness and maturity. New system capabilities were also demonstrated, namely augmented reality and the integration of remotely piloted autonomous systems (RPAS) such as the Black Hornet.

A battery charger (CBS) was also developed. The CBS not only allows the system to be connected to the VCR8x8 vehicle for data, power, and intercom, but also enables system charging using traditional or alternative energy sources such as solar panels.

GMV has been involved in the SISCAP project since 2017, in a joint venture with Indra. After this operational demonstration, phase 1-b of the SISCAP program will come to an end, giving way to future phases in which the number of prototypes is expected to be increased to include the remaining subsystems.

Description:

Notification of the coming joint procurement of the Nordic Combat Uniform (NCU) system between the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO), the Swedish Defense Material Administration (FMV) and the Norwegian Defence Material Agency (NDMA). The Authorities will publish a tender of a Framework Agreement with a Prequalification phase, followed by a negotiated procedure phase. The NCU system is soldier clothing next to skin and ends at the outermost area providing a shell cover. The different elements in conjunction with other or by themselves are designed to contribute to the soldiers’ ability to withstand the demands, threats and hazards in order to solve the tasks at hand. The NCU system consists of various items enabling the soldier to perform and survive in combat missions. The aim of the NCU system is to provide the soldier with protection against threats to the soldier in his/her operating environments. The NCU system is meant to supplement the existing combat uniform system, including outer, mid and inner layers under the concept 'more of the same'. The combat uniform system is for any gender soldier within any military service. The NCU system is for use in all geographical areas where the three Nations are or could be engaged in military operations. A thorough description of the various layers and the individual items will of course be described in the next phases. The Framework Agreement shall cover any need of the various items included in the NCU system. The inner- and mid layers are configured in knitting material made of wool and compositions of wool and is anticipated to be demanded in large numbers in total per year. The outer layers including combat-, insulation- and rain layers are likewise anticipated to be demanded also in large numbers in total per year.

Die Bundeswehr hat sich erneut für ein Gewehr von Heckler & Koch entschieden. Der traditionsreiche Handwaffenhersteller aus Oberndorf am Neckar setzte sich im Vergabeverfahren zum G210 mit dem Modell MR308A6 durch. Beim G210 handelt es sich um eine Scharfschützenwaffe mit kurzer Reichweite im bewährten Kaliber 7,62 mm x 51. Die Lieferung von bis zu 500 Exemplaren des G210 für die Spezialkräfte der Bundeswehr ist für das Jahr 2025 vorgesehen.

Das MR308A6 wurde seitens Heckler & Koch eigens für diese Ausschreibung entwickelt und der Öffentlichkeit auf der Messe EnforceTac im Februar dieses Jahres vorgestellt. Mit der Waffe wird außerdem eine Präzisionspatrone im Kaliber 7,62 mm x 51 eingeführt. Der halbautomatische Gasdrucklader besitzt ein Gewicht von rund 4,4 kg (ohne Magazin) und bietet durch die Verlegung der Durchlademöglichkeit an die Seite der Waffe deutlich mehr Bedien-Komfort.
