Denmark – Integrated Battle Command System Enabled PATRIOT

The Government of Denmark has requested to buy thirty-six (36) PATRIOT MIM-104E guidance enhanced missile-tactical (GEM-T) ballistic missiles; twenty (20) PATRIOT Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) missiles; two (2) AN/MPQ-65 radar sets; two (2) Engagement Control Stations (ECS); two (2) Radar Interface Units (RIU) modification kits; six (6) PATRIOT M903A2 launching stations (LS); six (6) Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) Software Launcher Integrated Network Kits (LINKs); two (2) IBCS Engagement Operations Centers (EOCs); two (2) IBCS Integrated Collaborative Environments (ICE); six (6) IBCS integrated fire control network (IFCN) relays; and two (2) Electrical Power Plants III (EPP III). The following non-MDE items will also be included: communications equipment including, but not limited to, AN/TPX–57A identification friend or foe (IFF), Defense Advanced Global Positioning System (GPS) Receiver (DAGR), AN/PYQ-10 Simple Key Loader, KIV-77 encryptor, KG-250X Inline Network Encryptor, IPS-250X HAIPE Encryptor, future Combat Net Radio, and AN/PRC-163 radio; tools and test equipment; support equipment; generators; publications and technical documentation; training equipment including the Air Defense Reconfigurable Trainer; spare and repair parts; personnel training; Technical Assistance Field Team support; U.S. Government and contractor technical assistance and services, engineering, and logistics support; System Integration and Checkout; field office support; and other related elements of logistics and program support. The estimated total cost is $8.5 billion.

Laut Pressemitteilung wird die neue Beschaffung eine Langstreckenkomponente in Form des französisch-italienischen Eurosam/MBDA SAMP/T-Systems sowie „ein oder mehrere” der drei Kurz- bis Mittelstreckensysteme umfassen, die im Rahmen des ersten vorläufigen Schrittes beschafft wurden.

In der Pressemitteilung heißt es weiter, dass insgesamt acht Systeme beschafft werden sollen, ohne jedoch näher auf die Zusammensetzung der einzelnen Systeme in Bezug auf die Anzahl der Raketen, Abschussvorrichtungen und Sensoren einzugehen.

Dänemark verzichtet auf die Beschaffung des Luftverteidigungssystems BARAK MX

Die dänische Regierung und die Parteien des Verteidigungsabkommens haben sich darauf geeinigt, die Beschaffung des integrierten Luftverteidigungssystems BARAK MX des israelischen Herstellers Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. (IAI) nicht weiter zu verfolgen. Dies gab das Verteidigungsministerium bereits am Freitag, den 24. Oktober 2025, in einer Pressemitteilung bekannt.

Obwohl keine offiziellen Ankündigungen gemacht wurden, deuten Berichte in der internationalen Fachpresse darauf hin, dass die dänische Regierung in den letzten Wochen die Beschaffung des BARAK MX-Systems als Übergangslösung für die bodengebundene Flugabwehr in Betracht gezogen hat, wohl vor allem angesichts der jüngsten Drohnenangriffe in der Nähe dänischer ziviler und militärischer Infrastrukturen.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress.

The Government of Denmark has requested to buy twenty-four (24) All Up Round Magazine (AUR-M); eight (8) Indirect Fire Protection Capability Increment 2 launchers; two (2) Sentinel A4 radars and Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS); two (2) IBCS Engagement Operations Centers; two (2) IBCS Integrated Collaborative Environments; and six (6) IBCS Integrated Fire Control Network relays. The following non-Major Defense Equipment items will also be included: reload vehicles; communications equipment, including, but not limited to, AN/PSN-13A Defense Advanced Global Positioning System receivers, AN/PYQ-10A Simple Key Loaders, AN/VRC-92F radio sets, RT-1523F receiver-transmitters, AN/TPX-61 interrogator set, AN/TPX-57A(V)1 Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) devices, KG-250X Inline Network Encryptors, and KIV-77 encryptors; tools and test equipment; support equipment; generators; publications and technical documentation; training equipment, including the Air Defense Reconfigurable Trainer; spare and repair parts; personnel training; Technical Assistance Field Team support; U.S. Government and contractor technical, engineering, and logistics support services; Systems Integration and Checkout; field office support; and other related elements of logistics and program support. • In 2021, the Army began the enduring IFPC Inc 2 effort. The IFPC Inc 2 system includes an industry-built launcher and an interceptor delivered as an All Up Round Magazine (AUR-M). Four launchers comprise a platoon. The U.S. Army’s Sentinel radar serves as the sensor and the U.S. Army’s Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Battle Command System (IBCS) serves as the fire control component at the platoon level.

  IFPC INC 2 2ND INTERCEPTOR SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
  
  The IFPC Inc 2 2nd Interceptor system consists of four Major End Items (MEI): an interceptor, an All-Up-Round (AUR) Magazine (AUR-M), a Weapons Interface Controller (WIC), and Engagement Calculator (EC) software. The interceptor is stored, transported in, and fired from the AUR-M. The WIC Computer Software Configuration Item (CSCI) resides on the Network Attached Storage (NAS) and is deployed to the Weapon Interface Card (WIC) upon system boot. The physical architecture of the WIC is the Abaco SB326. The WIC CSCI serves as the translator between the Launcher (User Datagram Protocol (UDP) over Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4)) and the native interceptor’s message format (e.g., MIL-STD-1553). Each AUR-M has a corresponding WIC Single Board Computer (SBC) residing in the Weapons Interface Unit (WIU) chassis located on the Enduring Shield Launcher and an interface controller card that resides on the magazine. Mission command for the 2nd Interceptor is handled by the IBCS.
