Estonia to Purchase 12 Wheeled CAESAR Self-Propelled Howitzers from France

Estonia to Renew Strategic Defence Cooperation with France through the Procurement of Additional CAESAR Howitzers (12. Februar 2026)

“I am pleased that the Estonian Centre for Defence Investments (ECDI), the French defence procurement agency Direction générale de l’armement (DGA), and the French company KNDS have signed a contract under which Estonia will procure an additional 12 CAESAR wheeled self-propelled howitzers. In accordance with the contract, the additional systems will arrive in Estonia already this year,” Minister Hanno Pevkur noted.

Estonia's defence capabilities will be strengthened this year with a medium-range air defence system

In order to affect the enemy from a distance, the number of K9 self-propelled guns will be increased to 36 and the existing dozen wheeled Caesar self-propelled guns will be added.
