"In December 2007, the US Army ordered 11 low-rate initial production (LRIP) upgrade UH60M. The UH-60M upgrade completed its maiden flight in August 2008. More than 950 aircraft are scheduled to be delivered by 2025. The UH-60M features new wide chord composite spar main rotor blades (which provide 500lb more lift than the current UH-60L blade), strengthened fuselage and advanced infrared suppression.
The fly-by-wire glass cockpit has a digitised 1553 bus-based avionics suite with four Rockwell Collins multi-function displays, four-axis fully-coupled autopilot, two Canadian Marconi (CMC) electronic flight management systems, dual Honeywell embedded GPS inertial (EGI) navigation system, digital moving map and Goodrich integrated vehicle health management system (IHVMS).
The new General Electric T700-GE-701D engine (with full authority digital electronic control) is more powerful and provides additional lift during sling load operations."
"T700-GE-701C
The T700-GE-701C is a more powerful version of the T700-GE-700 and a follow on of the T700-GE-701 (these engines are no longer in production). The T700-701C comes with 1,890 shp and features 6 compressor stages and 4 turbine stages (2HP-2LP). The engine powers the U.S. Army's UH-60A/L Black Hawk utility helicopter and AH-64A/D Apache Attack Helicopters. Also, the T700-GE-701C powers U.S. Marine Corps MH-60R Seahawk and MH-60S Seahawk helicopters as well as the U.S. Air Force's HH-60G Pave Hawk.
T700-GE-701D
The newest T700 engine, the T700-GE-701D, provides the latest technologies for field-proven engines. The T700-701D comes with 1,994 shp and features 6 compressor stages and 4 turbine stages (2HP-2LP). The U.S. Army is currently upgrading its fleet of UH-60A/L Black Hawk helicopters to the UH-60M configuration, which includes upgrading the older T700-GE-700 engines to the more powerful and durable T700-GE-701D configuration. This is done with the use of GE upgrade kits. While maintaining a high commonality with the T700-GE-701C, the T700-GE-701D represents an affordable approach to improve the performance and durability of these engines. The T700-701D will power the newest Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawk utility helicopters and Boeing AH-64E Apache Guardian attack helicopters."
