Canadian Army units are starting to see deliveries of the new troop carrier variant of the Armoured Combat Support Vehicle. This vehicle, based on the chassis of the LAV VI, will play an essential role in transporting our soldiers to where they need to go.

Delivery of the Canadian Army’s new Armoured Combat Support Vehicle (ACSV) Troop/Cargo variant has started! This is the second of eight ACSV variants that will provide our troops with safe and efficient transportation during operations and training.

89 vehicles are being donated by Canada to Ukraine to support various specializations, including ambulance, command post, engineering, electronic warfare and maintenance recovery.

In August 2024, the Armoured Combat Support Vehicle (ACSV) project delivered the first Command Post variant vehicle.

To date, over 58 Ambulance and Troop/Cargo Vehicle variants have been delivered at bases across Canada. Other upcoming variants include Electronic Warfare, Engineer, Fitter Cargo Vehicle, Mobile Repair Team, and Maintenance and Recovery Vehicle.

The Armoured Combat Support Vehicle (ACSV) project officially achieved Initial Operational Capability on 15 January 2025, marking a significant step forward in modernizing the Canadian Armed Forces’ (CAF) vehicle fleet.

This milestone was achieved with the successful delivery of the first three ACSV variants: the Troop/Cargo Vehicle, the Ambulance, and the Command Post, along with their associated training, spare parts and support equipment.
