2.1 General description

The aim of this project is to establish a framework agreement for the on-demand delivery of Unmanned Aviation Systems (UAS) for Concept Development & Experimentation (CD&E) purposes. This in turn ensures rapid access to new technologies and concepts, enabling testing and validation for operational use.

2.2 Scope

The scope includes:

• On-demand delivery of multiple Light UAS solutions.

The supplier shall be capable of delivering, where applicable:

• UAS platforms (Open or Sail I capable systems), payloads, accessories and supporting equipment;

• UAS platforms with the following capabilities are of interest, but not limited to:
  • ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) for various ranges;
  • Cargo transport for different weights and distances;
  • Strike operations for various ranges and impact;
  • Tethered drone systems.

• Support regarding registration and certification of the systems;

• Training for Remote Pilots;

• Warranty support.

The following are explicitly excluded from the scope:

• In-service support and long-term sustainment activities.
