Rheinmetall erhält weiteren Auftrag im mittleren dreistelligen MioEUR-Bereich zur Lieferung von Artilleriegeschossen: Dritter Abruf aus Rahmenvertrag
Rheinmetall hat einen weiteren Auftrag zur Lieferung von Artilleriemunition aus dem Rahmenvertrag mit der Bundewehr erhalten. Der dritte Abruf betrifft die Lieferung von mehr als hunderttausend 155mm-Geschossen der spanischen Rheinmetall-Tochtergesellschaft Rheinmetall Expal Munitions sowie von zusätzlichen DM 121-Sprenggeschossen. Beides ist für die Ukraine bestimmt, Auftraggeber ist die Bundesregierung. Der Auftrag hat den Wert eines mittleren dreistelligen MioEUR-Betrags. Mehrere zehntausend Schuss sollen noch in 2023, die übrigen in 2024 geliefert werden.
Schweden, Norwegen und Dänemark bestellen im Rahmen der Nordefco gemeinsam Artilleriemunition im Gesamtwert von 52,16 Mio. EUR (604 Mio. SEK), davon 25,9 Mio. EUR (300 Mio. SEK) für den ersten Vertragsabruf. Dabei wird ein existierender Rahmenvertrag zwischen Norwegen und Nammo genutzt. Diese Bestellungen soll kurzfristig den Bedarf der Ukraine und mittel- bis langfristig die Aufstockung der eigenen Munitionsvorräte abdecken.

Joint statement by contributors to the International Fund for Ukraine (12. Oktober 2023)
The International Fund for Ukraine has today announced a package worth over £100 million for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to provide maintenance and manoeuvre support.
The package includes tracks and engines for Armoured Fighting Vehicles; temporary bridges, and heavy equipment transporters for moving Main Battle Tanks; minefield breaching capabilities and portable mine clearance equipment to enable soldiers on foot to cross sections of mine fields and plant equipment for clearing obstacles such as anti-tank ditches.
We are also delighted to announce that all capabilities from the Air Defence Package announced in June are now on contract. The first systems will be delivered by the end of the year and will bolster Ukraine’s ability to protect its critical national infrastructure over the winter months.
The announcement was made today at a meeting of Defence Ministers at the Ukraine Defence Contact Group and has been funded by contributions from the UK, Norway, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Lithuania, and Iceland.

IDF fits armour canopies to tanks
Some of the Merkava IV tanks that have been deployed to the border with the Gaza Strip have had metal cage canopies fitted to their turrets to increase their protection from overhead threats.
Photographs taken of the Israeli buildup in preparation for the operation to destroy the militant group Hamas show that some, but not all, of the Merkava IVs have the previously unseen canopies. One photograph taken north of Gaza on 16 October showed a company of 13 tanks all fitted with the Trophy active protection system and 11 with the new canopy.
However, other armoured units massing on the border do not have this additional protection on any of their tanks.
Bei den gelieferten ATACMS finde ich ja interessant, daß die Medien schreiben es wurde die Reichweite auf 165km begrenzt. Dabei spricht alles dafür, daß einfach die Version M39 (älteste Version) die ja den Bomblet Sprengkopf hat geliefert wurde welche "nur" 165km Reichweite hat und nicht die neueren wie M57 mit 270-300km. Jetzt wird es ja spannend wie sich Deutschland mit der Taurus verhält.

Wie viele Mehrfachraketenwerfer des Typs MARS II aus Beständen der Bundeswehr hat die Bundesregierung als militärische Unterstützung der Ukraine zugesagt (bitte jeweils Datum, an dem die Zusage öffentlich wurde, sowie die jeweils versprochene Anzahl an Mehrfachraketenwerfern angeben), und in welchen Zeitlinien plant die Bundesregierung die entsprechende Ersatzbeschaffung (bitte mit Angabe der geplanten 25-Millionen-Euro-Vorlage an den Haushaltsausschuss des Deutschen Bundestages sowie des Zulaufs des ersten und des letzten ersatzbeschafften Mehrfachraketenwerfers beantworten)?
Antwort des Parl. Staatssekretärs Thomas Hitschler:
Die Bundesregierung hat fünf Mehrfachraketenwerfer des Typs MARS II als militärische Unterstützung der Ukraine zugesagt und bereits geliefert. Die Lieferung der ersten drei MARS II wurde am 15. Juni 2022 bekannt gegeben, die der beiden weiteren am 15. September 2022.
Es besteht zwischen Deutschland und den Niederlanden Einvernehmen, zukünftig auf dem Gebiet der Raketenartillerie möglichst eng zu kooperieren. Die Niederlande beabsichtigen, noch im Jahr 2023 mit der Beschaffung eines Raketenwerfers – im konkreten Fall das System PULS (Precise and Universal Launching System) – zu beginnen.
Um schnellstmöglich die Wiederbeschaffung der an die Ukraine abgegebenen Systeme und die größtmögliche Interoperabilität und Kooperation beider Länder sicherzustellen, ist eine deutsche Beteiligung an dieser Beschaffung beabsichtigt.
