Market research for MRAP vehicles for RCP units started
Oddělení průzkumu trhu a analýz, Sekce vyzbrojování a akvizic MO, zahájilo průzkum trhu k projektu „Vozidla MRAP pro jednotku RCP“ rozesláním oficiální „Žádosti o informace“ (tzv. „RFI“ – „Request for Information”) možným dodavatelům této kategorie vozidel.
The Market Research and Analysis Division, MO Armaments and Acquisitions Division, has launched a market survey for the "MRAP Vehicle for RCP" project by sending out the official "Request for Information" (so-called "RFI" - "Request for Information") to potential suppliers of this vehicle category.
„Žádosti o informace“ předcházely koncepční úvahy AČR o způsobu nasazení těchto vozidel a současně úvahy týkající se některých vysoce specializovaných systémů.
The "requests for information" were preceded by the conceptual considerations of the ACR about the way these vehicles were deployed and concurrently by considerations concerning some highly specialized systems. To this end, some NATO member countries that already have the capability of the RCP (Route Clearance Patrol) have also been addressed to share their operational experiences. This phase of clarification, due to the complexity of the entire project, eventually led to the repeated shift of the start date of the market survey, which was originally scheduled for the beginning of 2018.

After security clearance hiccup, Czech Republic selects a contractor for armored vehicle deal
The Czech Ministry of Defence has awarded a contract to supply 62 Titus six-wheel drive armored vehicles, jointly developed by France’s Nexter Group and Czech vehicle-maker Tatra Trucks, to local defense company Eldis Pardubice.
The ministry decided to change the contractor from Tatra Export to Eldis Pardubice after the former company failed to obtain a relevant security clearance, including a license from Nexter Systems.
Deliveries of the vehicles are scheduled for the years 2020-2025, according to the minister. The contract is estimated to be worth about 6.7 billion koruna (U.S. $303.1 million).
Both Tatra Export and Eldis Pardubice are part of the country’s defense industry giant Czechoslovak Group.
The change allows a contract to be placed for 42 C2 variants of the vehicle and 20 fire support coordination variants. Total value of the contract, which includes training and the supply of communications and cryptographic systems, is estimated at €221.5 million, with an additional €37 million earmarked for a five-year service support arrangement. Deliveries are scheduled to take place 2020-2025.
