New Procurement Award Confirms Iveco LMV as Norway’s Vehicle of Choice
Iveco Defence Vehicles has announced that the Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation (NDLO) has agreed to the procurement of a further tranche of 62 light armoured vehicles (LAV).
The new contract includes the Integrated Logistic Support of all current and future LAVs.
A particular demand placed on the new LAV was the requirement to accommodate extensive GFE, including radio, BMS, intercom and electronic counter measures. In addition, the LAV will be equipped either with a manual weapon turret or with a remote weapon station from Kongsberg.

Iveco delivers 62 light armoured vehicles to Norway

Iveco Defence Vehicles has delivered the last allocation of the fourth generation light armoured vehicles (LAVs) for the Norwegian Army.

The Norwegian Defence Material Agency (NDMA) received the delivery of 62 LAVs at Iveco headquarters in Bolzano, Italy.

Developed from the light multirole vehicle (LMV), the LAV is installed with several new upgrades requested by the customer and is designed to offer increased payload and better reliability.

Upgrades include the integration of the new driveline, which provides improved performance and an enhanced air filtration system.

The crew cell has been refurbished to improve crew ergonomics and increase the internal capacity of the vehicle. New seats, a modern dashboard and an upgraded hardtop have also been installed.

Delivery is carried out as part of the fourth LAV order received by the company from the Norwegian Armed Forces.
