Pyne said that while the trucks are to be manufactured on an existing production line in Austria, Australian industry would play a major role in the project, with RMMVA partnering with a range of Australia-based companies such as Varley in Newcastle, Holmwood Highgate in Brisbane, and ECLIPS in the Australian Capital Territory to supply the modules and trailers.

Im Rahmen des Vorhabens Land 121 Phase 5B wird Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles Australia (RMMVA) über 1000 hochmobile Militär-LKWs und über 800 Aufbauten an die Australian Defence Force (ADF) ausliefern. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Erweiterung des gegenwärtig laufenden Projektes Land 121 Phase 3B. Die Lieferungen sollen 2019 beginnen und bis 2024 laufen.
Im Rahmen des gegenwärtigen Vorhabens Land 121 Phase 3B liefert RMMVA geschützte und ungeschützte Militär-LKW und Aufbauten von seiner Integrationseinrichtung in Brisbane aus. Die Fahrzeuge werden wiederum auf dem 1000 Hektar großen Gelände des Australian Automotive Research Centre in der Nähe von Anglesea getestet und abgenommen. Dieses liegt rund 125 km südwestlich von Melbourne.
(wg) Hirtenberger Defence Europe (HDE) recently carried out a series of internal firing tests at the Felixdorf shooting range. The test series included technical adjustments of ST Engineering’s Super Rapid Advanced Mortar System (SRAMS) and the Hirtenberger 120 mm mortar ammunition as well as the training of the HDE operating team on the automated mortar system. In June, at Eurosatory in Paris, a cooperation between HDE and ST Engineering was agreed to jointly market the SRAMS in Europe. With a system weight of less than 1.2 tons and a maximum recoil of 26 tons (when fired with maximum charge), the SRAMS can also be integrated on light vehicles. Another test firing in the presence of an expert international audience is planned for September 2018.
