[19th of November 03] Vinghøg AS signs MNOK 200 contract with Norwegian Defence Logistics Organization/LAND
Today, Vinghøg AS signed a contract valued at MNOK 200 with the Norwegian Armed Forces. The contract refers to the Target Acquisition and Surveillance System (VINGTAQS). The Vingtaqs is to be installed in the Mechanized Forward Observer Vehicle based on the Armoured Vehicle M-113 for use by the Artillery. The system can determine target position day/night out to 6000 m and is a stand alone modular in design and can be integrated in a wide range of vehicles.
"This contract confirms the close and co-operation between the Norwegian Armed Forces and Vinghøg AS when developing products based on the Forces specifications" remarks Managing Director Trygve Egenes of Vinghøg AS.
"The ability of the Artillery to detect and respond quickly and precisely in engaging targets will be dramatically improved", he continues.

[1st Mar 03] Vintaqs system selected for Norwegian requirement
Vinghøg AS has been selected to negotiate a potential contract as the preferred supplier of the target acquistiton and observation system that the Norwegian Army intends to install on modified 40 M113 armored observer vehicles. Prevailing over competition from five international companies, Vinghøg is now in negotiations with the FLO/Land procurement organisation for a contract worth up to Nkr 170 million.
