Bracca Museum exhibition in Lugo

Beitrag von Duedicoppe » 14. Mär 2006, 01:42

Dear friends,
in the Baracca Museum of Lugo di Romagna, near Ravenna, in Italy, the IAF Chief of Staff will open on next 6th April an exhibition entitled "Francesco Baracca fra mito ed imprese" (Francesco Baracca between Mith and exploits) that will last until mid July. In the exhibition will be show a lot of relics and documents about the Italian leading fighter ace of WWI. There will be not only an original SPAD (serial 2489), but several parts of Austrian and German aircraft too, and the tunic of the Austrian ace Josef Kiss (he never met Baracca, but this relic will be show in honour for all the LFT men). For more data, see this page: http://www.museobaracca.it/news/news.html.
I believe that if you have the occasion, you could not miss a visit there.
Happy landings
Paolo
